Here at Broadview Missionary Baptist Church, we are busy with many activities taking place during the summer. One activity that was especially rewarding, was the Mission Trip to Baltimore. This trip took place in Baltimore, Maryland August 15th -18th.

Rev. Corey Thompson and his wife, Ada Thompson, along with Jaclyn Kirkendall, Serena Harper, and Bobby Smith traveled to West Baltimore to assist Reverend Wayne Lee and the congregation of Christian Liberty Church to sort and distribute a myriad of school supplies to children of the church and students in the area.

The women on the team visited a juvenile corrections facility where they met with some of the young women housed there for Bible discussion and counseling.

The men in the group also conducted Bible study on Saturday, August 18th and later set up outside and hosted a bar-b-que along with various activities, that included horseback riding and a bouncy house for the younger children.  Everyone present enjoyed this joyous and fun time.   Especially heart-warming was the decision by twenty or more of the Baltimore residents to accept Christ as their Savior; some were candidates for baptism, others reinstated their memberships.

Kudos to our Mission Team for a job well done!!
