Submitted By Deacon Robert and Sis. Linda Taylor

In September, we had a team named the Devoted Seven to go to Toronto. The team members were Deacon Robert and Sister Linda Taylor, Deacon Levi and Sister Alfreda Bell, Sister Carlean Nicholson, Sister Crystal Hopson, and Brother Anthony Green.

The purpose of the trip was to engage with the two church planters, to do prayer walks, evangelize and determine if BMBC should partner with the two church planters who are under the umbrella of the North American Mission Board (NAMB).

First, we met with Pakistan Pastor Robin Wasti and his wife Neena; they have two sons and one daughter. He shared with us how he was persecuted in Pakistan for his Christian beliefs. He fled to Toronto Canada and received asylum. He was separated from his family for four years, reuniting with them when they arrived in Toronto in 2014. Now, he is the Pastor of Life Eternal Asian Fellowship Canada (LEAF). Pastor Robin gave us an educational experience in touring the Hindu and Sikh temples. These are the people he is developing a relationship with, in hopes of bringing them to Christ.

Pastor Robin is excited about the BMBC partnership and is looking forward to us hosting a five-day VBS in early July 2020.

Next, we met with Haiti Pastor Nego Pierre Louis and his wife Ellen who is from Canada; they have two small children. They are experienced church planters, having planted churches in Haiti. He is the pastor of the Bethesda Church. The church meets in a community center and his prayer is to obtain a space in a school where the neighborhood has many high-rise apartments and parks.

Pastor Nego is also excited about the BMBC partnership and is looking forward to us hosting a Fun in the Park event in early July 2020.

So, Broadview, get your passports and “go” to Toronto for the Lord in July 2020!
