With the outbreak of the pandemic of COVID-19, there has been a mainstream of technical ideas put into play that will allow us to continue to be innovative and stay on top of advancing technology and communications. These changes have allowed for the expansion of the office to the home with work from home environments. It has allowed our students to continue receiving their classroom education, for us to attend doctor’s appointments, etc.

Virtually, for us to view and meet with family and friends, to celebrate milestones and accomplishments within our lives with others. From a Christian perspective, it provides access to continue to feed our spiritual needs through virtual services and E-Learning, especially while our church remains closed during this time due adhering to the guidelines set forth by the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention).

Our E-Learning at BMBC had a pilot already in place, and this pandemic situation has allowed for it to be expanded upon to continue to teach our members Christian education. This effort is headed by Sister Linda Woods-Smith with a goal of using E-Learning to offer classes beyond COVID-19 and beyond Broadview Missionary Baptist Church’s doors.

The organizers are praying for the grace of enough teacher volunteers to have 2 instructors per class to present the material, monitor for questions, and respond to chat messages.

The Class Groups will range between school grades and age groups as listed:

Pre-Kinder | 1 -3 | 4 –6| 7 –9 | 10 –12 | Ages: 19 –25| 26 -35 | 36 –45 | 55 –65+

The courses have not begun as of yet, but BMBC is working to create the new E-Learning agenda by utilizing the Lifeway materials and making sure the system as a whole is operating at its highest capacity. Members looking to continue your spiritual education through E-Learning can reach out to your Sunday School Directress Linda, or Priscilla for the links and times of the upcoming class meetings to participate in.
