 THEME: CONFESSION, REPENTANCE & FORGIVENESS

Dear Broadview,

I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and our sooncoming King! So here we are, one week into our spiritual renewal emphasis, and I sense God moving in our midst. I hope you do too! I pray that our weekly prayer guide has been a source of inspiration for you this past week. If you haven't already, I invite you to carve out some time each day to discern how the Lord may be speaking to you.

I also pray that your soul has and will be strengthened through our Wednesday fasts from 6am-6pm each week. Continue to allow the Holy Spirit to help you choose the fast that you should participate in. Whatever you decide, do so with a serious intent to speak to and hear from God as your ultimate goal.

This past Wednesday, January 11, 2023, we had a spirit-filled prayer and worship service. If you were not able to attend, I pray that you visit YouTube-Broadview Missionary Baptist Church and at least watch the service to make sure you are in spiritual sync and rhythm with The View.

This week, January 16-January 21, 2023, our theme is "Confession, Repentance, and Forgiveness." Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to face ourselves in the mirror in the presence of God, but it is necessary for spiritual growth, and it is necessary for the advancement of the Lord's Church. This Wednesday, January 18, 2023, I will be bringing a message that I sense our congregation needs to meditate on: "Church Hurt". Throughout this week allow God to search your heart to see if there is anything that you need to confess to God or your brothers and sisters in Christ, repent of it in the presence of God, and allow the power of forgiveness to set you free. If you feel you have been hurt, allow God to release you from the bondage of bitterness and renew your joy and passion for God and God's people. He's faithful to do it!
